Shopify URL Structures

Shopify URL Structures

Shopify being a platform has to have a defined way of functioning for all its merchants. Shopify or any other platform across the world has most of the things same for all its users/customers. Like iPhone is the same for all irrespective of the geography you buy it in. Shopify too has a defined URL structure for all its merchants and unlike the open-source platform, it doesn’t let you manipulate these structures which means, it is defined and cannot be changed by anyone.

Shopify URL Redirects

URL redirects can be used to redirect traffic from one web page to another. When you change a URL on your Shopify store, you can create a URL redirect to ensure your customers can still find what they're looking for. For example, if you delete a product, you can set up a URL redirect so that when customers enter the URL for that product, they are redirected to a similar product on your store.
